- Forbidden Light introduces 8 new Pokemon-GX and 5 new Prism Star cards. The set also contains 6 Ultra Beasts, 15 trainer cards, and 2 special energy cards.
- Forbidden Light had two theme decks released. "Tropical Takedown" featured a theme deck exlclusive Alolan Exeggutor. The other theme deck, "Twighlit Rogue", featured a theme deck exclusive Cracked Ice Holo, Lycanroc and also included an alternate art version of Alolan Exeggutor.
