This set got me back into collecting, but it took me over 20 years to notice that the sketches used in the 'heritage' inserts subtly replaced the USA logos on McGwire's and Giambi's uniforms, from their iconic Team USA rookie cards, with Topps logos.
I'm by no means an IP expert, but surprising that Topps seemingly didn't retain the right to reproduce their own designs...

I can't believe this set isn't rated higher! The cards themselves are beautiful. I got nostalgic in 2001 and started buying cards again. When I saw the Topps Gallery artist painted cards I remember thinking how cool that was. It instantly became one of my favorite sets to collect, and I continued in 2002 with this set. I love that the base set is smaller, it meant that I knew most of the players and that the set could realistically be completed. I also thought it was a nice touch that there was some info on the back of the cards about the artists. Huge shout out to these people and the fantastic work they did. I cherish these cards and enjoy admiring the artwork. These are perfect for your 3 ring binder display sheets.
