I love how this set not only has players who play in the NFL but players who play in the World League. You learn something new every day with sports cards.

pro Set was a groundbreaking football card set, and they didn't disappoint with their 1991 set. The front photography, the color backs, the stats, the bio...It was an amazing product. They overproduced, yes, and that was their undoing, but if not for Pro Set, you wouldn't have the incredible cards that they have now...Groundbreaking.

1991 pro set draft day listing. Who was the #1 pick that year? Russell Maryland. He is not listed...? His RC has a pic of him holding his draft day card and it IS an insert in the 1991 pro set series 1 set. fyi as most everybody forgot about maryland in this set. weird! cheers!

I think theres something important missing around this great card collection, and its the 9 cinderella story cards inserted in the 1991 NFL PRO SET CARD BOOK, I spect for answers, about in, and one Question, Why is there no number 2 special card listed, Its that I donĀ“t now if it is a mistake or a very rare card to find?

As with their two previous issues, Pro Set continued to make bold and exciting cards, and this year they offered full-bleed photos with floating bars in team colors containing player's name, position, and team. They also used an occasional horizontal photo to complement the set. Series 1 contained cards 1 through 405, including cards highlighting the season, NFL officials, "Think About It" cards promoting positive messages by players, and the NFC Pro Bowl team. Inserts included 32 cards for the new World League of American Football and 10 cards of the team helmets, a randomly inserted card of Walter Payton/Team 34 racing, a mini Pro Set Gazette, a Super Bowl XXV logo card styled after the 1989 set and a portrait of Red Grange, who passed away in 1991. Series 2 contained cards 406 through 812, with the first 27 cards of the AFC Pro Bowl team, 9 cards titled NFL Newsreel, a 9-card subset titled Legends with art by Marv Corning. Inserts included a special collectible art card for Super Bowl XXVI, a card continuing the MVP series with Ottis Anderson of the Giants, another edition of the mini Pro Set Gazette, and special collectibles for Jim Thorpe, Otto Graham and Paul Brown. The final update contained cards 813 to 850, plus Super Bowl XXV theme art card. Late in the year they issued another Santa Claus card to collectors. As with previous issues, this set contained many errors which were for the most part fixed and new cards issued in packs.
