Having acquired the box of the series one, I must confirm what is said below: one of the best sets of the 93/94 year. Without hesitation, the series two is just as cool. If you're looking for a set similar to this series, the "1993-94 Score" set is really in the same genre. In any case, the 93 Upper Deck 94 hockey card series one and two are the absolute best of the 93/94 year in my opinion! You can buy them with your eyes closed.

One of my favorite Upper Deck hockey card designs. One of the better card layout and designs of all the manufacturers in the 90s.

The 1993-94 Upper Deck hockey set contains 575 standard-size cards. The set was released in two series of 310 and 265 cards, respectively. The fronts feature a photo with team color-coded inner borders. The player's name, position and team name are at the bottom. The backs have a photo in the upper half with yearly statistics in the bottom portion. The following subsets are included: 100-Point Club (220-235), NHL Star Rookies (236-249), World Jr. Championships - which include Canada (250-260/531-550), Czechoslovakia (261-267/573), Finland (268-271), Russia (272-279/571/574) and USA (551-568) - All-Rookie Team (280-285) and Team Point Leaders (286-309). The set closes with an All-World Junior Team subset (569-574). A special card (SP4) was randomly inserted in Upper Deck series one packs commemorating Teemu Selanne's record-breaking 76 goal rookie season. A Wayne Gretzky card commemorating his 802nd NHL goal was randomly inserted at a rate of 1:36 Parkhurst series two packs. This card is identical to his regular Upper Deck card for '93-94, with the exception of a gold foil stamp that indicates his 802nd goal. The silver version of this card was handed out to Canadian dealers as a promotion for Parkhurst series two, and also given to each of the 16,005 fans attending the next game at the Great Western Forum following the event.

Gretzky's Great Ones - Insert
Randomly inserted in series one packs and one per series one jumbo, this 10-card set measures the standard size. The fronts feature color player photos with blue and gray bars above, below, and to the left. The player's name and the words "Gretzky's Great Ones" in copper-foil letters appear below and above the photo, respectively. The cards are numbered on the back with a "GG" prefix.

I don't think that 1993-94 Silver Skates Hobby Gold exist. Only the retail have gold version.
