1983-84 Vachon
User Comments |
Montreal-based, and then Culinar-owned, Vachon Bakery has been producing a very popular line of packaged snack cakes, sold in boxes of usually 6 or more. For the 1983-84 season, Vachon issued cards featuring players from every Canadian-based NHL teams. While most would cut to split them, the cards came in sheets of two cards, one on top of the other, featuring players from different teams. The cards were inserted in specially-marked boxes of the Vachon snack cake line. Although very popular, it's the only known Vachon set, although sister-company, Stuart, would issue Montreal Expos baseball team sets in 1983 and 1984. |
