The 2010 Topps The Cards Your Mom Threw Out set reprinted several 1952 cards.

And the 1983 reprint is in the standard 2.5 x 3.5 inch size, smaller than the original.

Just purchased a 2010 copyright reprint of a 1952 Topps card. I don't see the 2010 reprint listed on the website. Is this a legitimate reprint by Topps?

Also the card size is smaller and doesn't match the original 1952 series. Is the 1983 Topps reprint of the 1952 series also smaller than the original?

Would appreciate any comments on the above, particularly the card size. Somewhat disappointed if the 1983 reprint also used a smaller card as I'm thinking of buying some of the higher priced originals.

These are the five cards from the the original 1952 Topps set that are not included in the 1983 Topps 1952 Reprint set.

Hope someone finds this useful.

A fairly faithful reproduction of the originals, with the major difference being the words "TOPPS 1952 REPRINT SERIES" in the lower center of the card, and the lack of the "printed in the USA" text on the back lower right corner of the reprints.
All cards are of the 'red back' variation.
I was a bit sad that it's missing 5 players though due to licencing issues with those players.

I purchased an unopened set, and was fairly surprised at the large number of mis-cut, and off centered cards. There was a fair bit of ink "smudging" as well.

If you can't afford a 1952 Topps set, or hate paying the large price for even the common cards, then this set is definitely a great alternative!
I'd give it a 7/10 overall.

A scanners note: As you browse through the cards I've scanned in, you may notice quite a few that seem turned or badly mis-scanned, and I assure you it's not my scanning abilities, lol!
These cards are really that bad at times, with MANY miscut and off centered cards, and even quite a few "diamond cuts".
