I've only started collecting cards since December of 2012. Although I have a mixed collection of approximately 3,500 cards, I have yet to own a complete set until now. The 2012 Upper Deck SP Authentic is my very first set that I own that has been completed. The process included 2 hobby boxes and the secondary market, I did end up with a total of 3 complete sets. One of which I gave to my son in law, he is guilty in getting me to start my madness in collecting football cards. My first impression was that these cards have a excellent simple yet elegant design to it. "Less is more" is my view. The card stock is of a high quality product, it actually feels like more of a entry level high end item! As for the collecting value? With the 2012 rookie class, my humble opinion is that all sets and or cards from the 2012 year will gain in value, much faster than other years. One only needs to see the prices in the secondary market. I did enjoy having an RGIII, Russel Wilson, Brandon Weedon, and Alfred Morris to name a few. My interest peaked with the '94 SP inserts. This led me to my second complete set of 1994 Upper Deck SP. I'll save that review on that site. As for my hits? Several 2-3 color patch auto's of Rueben Randall and some really nice '94 SP die cut auto's and finally base cards with auto's. My favorite overall cards are definitely the '94 SP die cut auto's. This set gets 4 stars from me, if it contained a Andrew Luck card, it would have been a 5 star product. In summation, great fantastic quality cards at a very reasonable price point.
