Derrel Thomas' 100th stolen base was on June 4, 1979 in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. Dodgers won the game 4-2. Derrel did appear in 6 games as a catcher before he retired, but never pitched. On the day he had 4 hits, his Padres lost to the Reds 10-6. He was 4 for 5 at the plate, with 3 singles, a double, a run scored, 2 RBIs and a strikeout...in the field, he had two outfield assists. |
