I cannot remember the first pack I opened, but this was the first set of baseball cards I ever had. My parents had bought it for me when I was born so that when I grew up I could start my collection. They probably also thought the cards might be worth something and could help me somewhere down the road. However, I later found out a lot of the cards from the late 80's and early 90's weren't really worth much because of mass production. I still have this set and consider it the start of my journey of collecting baseball cards.

The cards are very boring looking and the selection of rookie cards aren't very good. All the main sets from this year are all weak for rookies.
