Translation of the French-language text at the back of the cards:

"Collect the twenty-four cards of the Expos-Hygrade series throughout the summer of 1982. You will find one in each specially-identified package of smoked sausages.

And to preserve your collection, get a practical and attractive album specially-conceived for this promotion. To get it, simply send a check or postal order: $1,99 + provincial tax + shipping fees for a total of $2,92: (address)"

Hygrade is a popular brand of hot dog sausages. They were usually the brand served at the Montreal Olympic Stadium. The pictures were shot by famed sports photographer Denis Brodeur, an Olympic bronze medal winner with the 1956 Canadian hockey team and father of future HOF NHL goaltender Martin Brodeur.
