Notes:
Distributed in specially-marked individual twin packages of Hostess Twinkies, Cupcakes, Suzy Q's and Sno Balls. Cards have the same design, photos and numbering as 1977 Hostess but have thick black bars on the upper and lower back. Because the cards were in direct contact with the snack cakes, they will likely have staining.
Please note cards #31-135 from Hostess Cupcakes packs have dashed lines on only the top and bottom (nothing on the left or right edges), and the statistical area printed on the back is smaller than the standard version (it aligns with the player name and "Born" instead of the left edge of the card number circle).

- Issued as single cards inside boxes of Twinkies.
- Cards are identical to 1977 Hostess set except for black line on back.
- Issued one card per package, each card was part of the cardboard bottom of individual servings of Hostess snack cake products.
- Unlike 1975 and 1976, which were issued only with Twinkies, the cards in the 1977 Twinkies set were issued with various Hostess snack cake products - not just Twinkies.
- Card #s 61-117 were issued with Cupcakes only. All other cards in the set were issued with two or more snack cake products.
