The original checklist for this 1989 Series included 15 players whose figures were never produced: Mike Aldrete (Giants), Jack Clark (Yankees), Nick Esasky (Reds), Julio Franco (Indians), Tommy Herr (Twins), Bob Horner (Cardinals), Bruce Hurst (Red Sox), Keith Moreland (Padres), Eddie Murray (Orioles), Pete O'Brien (Rangers), Rafael Palmeiro (Cubs), Lance Parrish (Phillies), Jim Presley (Mariners), Steve Sax (Dodgers) and John Tudor (Dodgers). It is unknown if cards were ever produced for these players.
