Not that my opinion matters, but I like this set. The only 2 things I would maybe consider altering is on some cards the name is harder to see than others due to certain color graphics and schemes. And the backs don’t have much stat bio or info on rookies minor league experience who just came up and made the set lineup. Having smaller insert issue than most sets helps and it doesn’t hurt to have the unique serial numbered cards throughout the set. Some may not like this but it makes for a fun way to complete the set and the numbered cards may carry a slightly higher value over time. I gave the set an 8. Great photos and nearly borderless on the cards as Topps has always done with SC cards.

pugchump writes: why is this card SN999 ?

being unfamiliar with the set, I thought it must be that the last 85 cards in the set are SP RC's, which Stadium Club did in 2003, a set I am working on. but still, I took a look, and ... wow!!!

every 3rd card from 1-90 are active players SN 999, then the next 10 are a retired subset and 3 of them SN 999,

cards 101-150 are 50 RC cards and every 3rd is a SN999 variation each of them comes in a non numbered photo variation

cards 151-185 and 35 RC / AU cards. some of them were redemptions

[from 100-185 some are not actually RC cards by the TCDb definition]

this just became my least favorite set of all time

source baseballcardpedia: ".... When asked about 2008 Stadium Club at the 2011 NSCC, Clay Luraschi, the Director of Product Development for Topps, responded "It didn't sell well."

Due to the unusual divide-by-three configuration, 2008 Stadium Club was one of the most confusing sets ever. .... "

Standard fronts of rookie cards match picture on the back. VAR rookie cards do not match picture on the back.
