Set: 2002 Upper Deck Diamond Connection (Rate)

Card: #202 Tim Salmon

“ Well going by what has leaked out about Memorabilia Cards, this may have been used by Tim Salmon in a game, or it is a swatch off of my kids blankey from when he was two. I'm not sure about the double photo of the same pose, at least mix it up a bit. Even the back head shot looks to be from the same photo. ” -rmpaq5

“ Not sure what to expect or say about this one. Diamond Connection well OK it IS Baseball so yeah there is a diamond "connection" there somewhere. I'm guessing the box thing on the right is where relics will go for the relic versions of this card? Not sure what the back says or does. ” -captkirk42

“ The box within a box doesn't really highlight the jersey. ” -carthage44

“ Another lousy 3 pics from one photo card. Jersey or not it looks like junk. ” -NJdevils

Set: 2011 Topps - Diamond Stars (Rate)

Card: #DS-19 Josh Hamilton

“ I don't know what else to say except too glittery. ” -rmpaq5

“ I don't like the foil cards these days, would prefer a full color action shot, at least you can read his name ” -aussiewayne

“ Hate it, absolutley hate it. What an abomination. ” -RoyalChief

“ This looks pretty cool in scan, I bet it is incredible in hand! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ He's a Diamond Star for getting injured. ” -carthage44

“ I actually kind of like this set. It's an insert, so it doesn't need all the stuff that people usually complain are missing. I think I may have 1 or 2 cards from this set somewhere. ” -switzr1

“ Super shiny! I'd like the front even better if I could read it. ” -dilemma19

Set: 2004 Donruss Team Heroes (Rate)

Card: #50 Rodrigo Lopez

“ He sure looks happy to be on that card! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I like these Team Heroes sets. If I recall correctly they are basically Donruss' answer to Topps Total. ” -captkirk42

“ Overall, an original card design. The branding on the front takes up too much space relative to the player name and position, and the back looks intimidating (though an enjoyable read). Did Mr. Lopez just finish using the restroom before this photo was taken? He appears happy and satisfied. ” -dilemma19

“ A lot of good player and team on the back of these cards. ” -carthage44

Set: 1991-92 Stadium Club (Rate)

Card: #244 Chris Nilan

“ Great early Stadium Club. First year for Hockey, I think, but I don't know hockey very well. Loved the concept of the rookie card on the back. Didn't work out so well when they did it in the NBA set as most of the players had entered the league since the last Topps release of 1981-82. But I loved the concept anyway and it helped me learn more about the league when I was first starting to collect. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ KNUCKLES !! One of my all time favorites . I like this set too. ” -uncaian

“ The 91 series of Stadium Club takes me back; great memories of friends, card shows, inappropriate jokes and bad fast food. ” -SFC Temple

“ The players rookie card on the back is a nice touch. ” -carthage44

“ I like these early Stadium Club sets for some reason even though they lack the team name and logo on the front. Not even the player's position on the front. The backs were always cool with the player's Topps RC. Could stand to have more stats instead of just the one year but whatever. OH and the backgrounds for the backs are too busy for backs. ” -captkirk42

“ Knuckles Nilan, though he doesn't look quite right as a Bruin. Apparently the 1991 SC Baseball design was well received, so why not reuse it for a hockey issue. ” -dilemma19

“ I know Stadium Club sets are supposed to focus on the photography, but a team logo wouldn't hurt. ” -rmpaq5

“ Loved the idea of the 'rookie card' on the back. It's only the real rookie if it's the first Topps card, though. ” -wax_house

“ 2783 mins of penality in 632 games... that means he fought almost every game! That's a warrior! ” -PMB

Set: 2007 Bowman Heritage (Rate)

Card: #232b Dallas Braden

“ Good scan. Card could really have used his name on the front. I know it's a Heritage set but the same holds true for the original . ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This guy threw a perfect game despite being and below average pitcher for his career. ” -carthage44

“ Love these retro sets except for the modern Rookie Card and RC logos. This was a Heritage set done right in my book. ” -captkirk42

“ I'd rather collect either the original '51 Bowmans or the real '07 Topps, but the Heritage sets do look cool. ” -RoundtheDiamond87

“ Sad to see his career cut a bit short, but man who can say they threw a perfect game!! That was epic. The card is cool too. ” -RoyalChief

“ Nice clean card. Dallas Braden, I hardly knew ye. ” -dilemma19

“ Nice design both front and back. Just don't walk across his mound during a game. ” -grim25

“ Bowman has grown on me over the years, and this is another set that I think looks pretty good. ” -Doc Floyd

Set: 1985 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #149 Tony Armas

“ Solid design, I've always liked Fleer...back scan is terrible. Front's washed out too but at least you can see it. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Love everything about this set. ” -vrooomed

“ Boo ” -RoundtheDiamond87

“ I like everything except the gray border. Tony was one of the most injury prone players. Don't know how he last as long as he did. ” -C2Cigars

“ I love this set. One of my favorites. That is also one of my favorite stache/side fro combos as well. ” -RoyalChief

“ The Fleer sets in the 80's were amazing! ” -carthage44

“ Why has no one made a set called "all-time best mustaches in baseball"?? 85 Fleer was nothing remarkable, but in that era it didn't take much to print better-looking cards than Topps. I like these Red Sox uniforms, despite the lack of red. ” -dilemma19

“ Say what you will about 1980s Fleer but I like them. I like the look and feel that the early 1980s Fleer sets have. OK this one has the minimum for a front almost. They have the team logo and for most of the teams the team name is either part of the logo, around the logo or on one of the edges of the logo (the Phillies and Mariners seem to be the exceptions). Back is very nice and the way a modern card should be for the most part. ” -captkirk42

“ I have a lot of fond memories of buying many many packs of 85 Fleer. I definitely have soft spot for the mid-80's Fleer sets. ” -cckeith

Set: 1995 Donruss Red Zone (Rate)

Card: #274 Natrone Means

“ Hey a gaming card not from the original football. Good action shot, looks like a "normal" card. The soccer yellow card one from about two weeks ago is just above this one in my opinion. ” -rmpaq5

“ HUH !!! ” -uncaian

“ I vaguely recall this guy was a beast. Nothing noteworthy about the card design. ” -dilemma19

“ Very complicated card game. ” -carthage44

“ This sounds like a confusing game. ” -RoyalChief

“ Natrone Means- Synonymous with "Botched Off Tackle" ” -Howintensive

“ OH gees Donruss had a TCC Football game? Totally confusing. ” -captkirk42

Set: 2004-05 Hoops - Checklists (Rate)

Card: #NNO Checklist 1-130

“ I love checklists! I miss them, too. Even when they were done this poorly by Fleer. I still love them. From 1996-2005 a checklist was my #1 most wanted card. Fleer used this same black and white design from 1998-99 until they went out of business in 2004. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Is this our first checklist as RCOTD? That's funny. I see they didn't put the little check boxes next to the numbers. It serves its purpose. ” -vrooomed

“ Everything about the checklist being the random card of the day makes me laugh. What a boring selection. As far as checklists go, this one is bad, unless it is the scan. Usually, they provide you the little boxes, as if you are actually going to use them to check off your cards. Also, was this really black and white? ” -muskie027

“ Ummm I know COD is random. But surely we could have a no checklist filter. It's not even an interesting Checklist ” -mbarlow092

“ Checklists are the best but they could have put some effort into this card and not make it look like its the final graduation roster for rural school #19. ” -flcardtrader

“ If that is a checklist, where do I put my "check"? Where is the little box? Why must life be so difficult? ” -NJdevils

“ Well, technically, I think this is just a list. A checklist would imply something to check. In their zeal for a clean design, they forgot the check boxes. ” -DaClyde

“ Blah , blah , blah. ” -uncaian

“ Boring checklists. They need to put a player on a checklist to make it worth while. ” -carthage44

“ First time I've seen a checklist. Nice card, I like how they put the numbers in numerical order, it really helps :). ” -RoyalChief

“ What a treat...such greats on this list...one of the greatest hairstyles ever, Chris Wilcox...Sam "Not From This Planet" Cassell...Keith "Journeyman" Bogans...oh Lamar Odom, why Lamar, why...nothing like a good Predrag...one of the smallest guys ever, Earl "The Size Of A Pearl" Boykins...not in my house...ahhh and ends with ZaZa and that's just the front people...get out there and buy this... ” -SaveDaKid

“ What can you say? When it comes to checklists, this has got to be the most basic and boring one I've seen. They wouldn't even splurge on some color ink. ” -C2Cigars

“ A Checklist for the Random. I guess that is a new one. Didn't expect that. This is a sad case of the modern checklist. They no longer provide the little check boxes. This one doesn't even have a little logo of a picture. NO color at all. Fortunately you can tell it is basketball with the name "Hoops" the NBA in the title, the NBA logo on the back. Nothing unique about this card to make it obvious which set it belongs to, or that you should even try to keep it in your collection. ” -captkirk42

“ Well it does its job. ” -rmpaq5

Set: 1994-95 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #71 Philippe Boucher

“ Great card design. Like it in all 3 sports in my collection. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This kid looks like he's in High School. ” -carthage44

“ Not liking the vertical lettering, but the back, like most Upper Deck backs of this era, gives a strong secondary picture and all the vitals you need. ” -rmpaq5

“ Wasn't much of a fan of this set it just was kind of blah . Boucher won a Stanley cup with Pitts. Now coaches the Quebec Remparts. ” -uncaian

“ Nice pictures--both home and away uniforms ” -cjjt

Set: 2010 Topps Heritage - Ruth Chase '61 (Rate)

Card: #61BR14 Babe Ruth

“ I think this is the first Babe Ruth card to be card of the day...My baseball knowledge may be limited but he is considered the greatest of all time, isn't he? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I don't get the meaning of this set. An apostrophe before the 61 means 1961. But Ruth wasn't chasing anything in 1961 since he'd been dead 13 years by then. This set should have been called "RUTH CHASED '61". BTW, I hate sets that have a separate card for EVERY hit, home run, completed pass, touchdown, game played, day of existence, etc. ” -C2Cigars

“ I like most things about Heritage but I don't like some of these additional made up "just because" inserts. ” -captkirk42

“ Nifty looking card. The history lesson on the back is an added bonus. ” -dilemma19

“ Babe Ruth cards are always must have in collections no matter what year. ” -carthage44

“ Nice insert set. The black and white photo super imposed on a modern background is a hit and miss thing. With this insert set I believe they hit. ” -rmpaq5
