Set: 1958 Topps (Rate)

Card: #478 Johnny Temple

“ I have heard of most baseball players but I have never heard of Johnny Temple. ” -carthage44

“ I like the team by team stats on the back ” -dobbie

“ I remember getting these. Blue for the NL Red for the AL. They alternated them too, Al then NL. Wonderful and wonderful memories. I cannot express the feeling of getting cards with a special background as opposed to usual photos. Very unique at the time. Similar feeling as to when he Beatles hit the scene. ” -NJDevils

“ Nice error on the back. Anyone else notice it? ” -vrooomed

“ The background makes the card. There sure are a lot of stars. ” -jlaz10

“ Just classic. ” -switzr1

Set: 2011 Topps Heritage Minor League (Rate)

Card: #91 Sean Coyle

“ Woody! ” -carthage44

“ Great picture! Great card. I love some of these old card designs. ” -cckeith

“ I got this set for my son because he loves the 1962 cards so much, and I could afford this one, not the 1962s. (He also likes the 1987 set, I have bunch of those!) ” -vrooomed

“ Doesn't do the 62 Topps any justice.... ” -suomibear8

“ One hop this time! ” -DaClyde

“ Topps really hit the spot with this minor league set. Yes, it's a copy of a major league set that was brought back from 1960, but it's not a bad design. ” -jlaz10

“ I never see the Heritage minor league sets for sale around here. I've picked up some singles online, but would like to collect some of these without buying a whole box. I love going to minor league baseball. ” -switzr1

“ I enjoy the Topps Heritage Minor league sets as it offers me opportunities to acquire minor league cards I enjoy collection. ” -koloth42

Set: 1997-98 Ultra (Rate)

Card: #49 Martin Muursepp

“ Gotta love the mid to late 90's no name NBA players. ” -carthage44

“ Someone needs a new keyboard. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ I believe he was the first Estonian to play in the NBA, although he did not play very much. I have great memories of the 1997-98 set. The player's name is printed with an interesting technology where it kind of changes color and glows when you move the card- at least in Series 1, which this card is from. Series 2 it was more of just a foil. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ "Let's see how many different fonts we can use on a card?" - "OK!" This must have been the conversation at Fleer throughout the 1990s for every design session for a set. ” -vrooomed

“ Who? Besides the fact that I don't know who this is, the picture is one of the better I have seen on a card. However, the photo on the back is not a good one for Martin. ” -yokonashiwa

“ Ultra bland? Ultra stinko? ” -NJdevils

“ Great uniforms, but if only I could read his name on both sides... ” -jlaz10

Set: 1999 Fleer Tradition (Rate)

Card: #371 Alan Benes

“ I dislike the vertical player and team tame. ” -carthage44

“ Even though I'm not a fan of the team name being in script, I really like the layout of this card set. I may have to chase this one. ” -vrooomed

“ I love it. Best uniform in sports. I prefer when cards have the white uniform/red cap combination. ” -switzr1

“ The late '90s/early '00s were a transition period in uniforms, spawning several ugly sets and tons of pajama-ers. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1997-98 Score (Rate)

Card: #223 Viktor Kozlov

“ Love the back. Lots of stats and information. ” -carthage44

“ Drafted in the first round by San Jose Sharks in 1993, I remember there were a lot of people comparing him to Mario Lemieux, given his size. Viktor never put up Mario-like numbers but had a very long and serviceable career both in the NHL and in Russia. ” -Gunny

“ I hate the Sharks. Still, this isn't a bad design and their uniforms do add variety to a sheet in a binder. ” -switzr1

“ The Sharks have tried to make amends with their current uni set, but nothing beats their original. ” -jlaz10

“ I bought tons of cards from this set in my card collecting prime years of age 12. I definitely recognize this one, but I got rid of it in a collection downsizing. ” -DanD

Set: 1989 O-Pee-Chee Sticker Backs (Rate)

Card: #10 Tony Fernandez

“ This looks like the back of the card is posted as the front...I'm sure there's a reason for this, but I don't know what it is. The back is more interesting than the front...or I should say the side shown as Card of the Day is more interesting, anyway. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The AL had a glut of good shortstops from 1985-1995. Fernandez and Trammell were always sort of in Ripken's shadow when All-Star time rolled around. ” -DaClyde

“ Nice way of making garbage collectible. ” -vrooomed

“ Three beautiful uniforms! The Jays combination of blue jersey and powder blue pants is horrible and amazing at the same time. ” -jlaz10

“ Every bit as good as Ozzie Smith, and better offensively. Fernandez had 66 more HR's, 51 more RBI's and his batting avg was 26 points higher, all with 1,485 fewer at bats than Ozzie Smith had. And yet the Hall of Fame voting was: Fernandez = 0.7%. Smith = 91.7%. Guess all those back flips paid off in the end. ” -Id8jlb8666

Card: #94 Guillaume Latendresse

“ In a semi-related note, Montreal is the one North American city I've never been to that I would most like to visit. ” -switzr1

“ Nice design. Large photo, full stats on the back. What more could you ask for? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ What a name! ” -carthage44

“ I hate the Habs, but I love their uniforms. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1995 Fleer Power Rangers Movie (Rate)

Card: #144 Casting Call: Karan Ashley

“ WHAT??? If I only knew these were out there. LOL! ” -carthage44

“ At first glance, I thought this was a WNBA card for Britney Griner. ” -jupiterhill

“ I can't begin to tell you how many times my sons watched this movie when they were little. Can't wait for the Ivan Ooze rookie card to make Card of the Day! ” -Dave Sosidka

“ No.1 recycler of old Japanese sci fi serieses ” -uncaian

“ I bet that hip-hop dancing will come in useful when saving the world. Who needs martial arts! Also, I am not a fan of a card with the same picture on the front and the back. ” -switzr1

“ I definitely want to have cards from Fleer about the Power Rangers! ” -jlaz10

“ Go Go Power Rangers.. ” -bigdawg31

Set: 1991 Pro Set Petty Family (Rate)

Card: #9 Lee Petty / Richard Petty / Maurice Petty

“ Pass, pass and pass. ” -carthage44

“ This was a great set, although at 50 cards a little short. Between the 4 Pettys that raced, they accumulated 262 wins- and would likely have had many more had Adam not been killed in a tragic accident at age 20, in 2000. 54 of the wins were Lee's, his son Richard scored 200 wins, 95 more than anyone else, and Richard's son Kyle won 8. Adam was Kyle's son. Maurice and his son Richie also raced but did not win any races. Maurice did not like racing and became one of the top engine builders of all time- all three are in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Richard holds almost every record available, his career spanned from 1958-1992 and he still owns two cars in 2014. This was the second NASCAR set I completed, purchasing a factory set sometime in 1993. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I wonder how much that car cost Lee Petty, compared to the cost of a winning stock car today. ” -switzr1

“ Great Pic! ” -SSG Temple

“ Not much into Racing, but this is a nice card .Was there anything ProSet didn't put out? ” -uncaian

“ Can't help but look in the background for Bigfoot.... ” -Joshua825

“ Beautiful car in the background there. ” -jlaz10

“ I won't bash collecting this type of card, because each person likes what they like. I may not be into it, but if you are... Nice card showing Racing Royalty. ” -vrooomed

Set: 1949 Remar Bread (Rate)

Card: #4 Loyd Christopher

“ Sweet bread card! Love the "Let's Be Friends" slogan on the back. ” -carthage44

“ Vintage promo...cool. I like the radio ad on the back, and the old-school bread wrapping. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I love me some minor league cards and I'm a sucker for food issue cards as well. Pretty cool old card. ” -Id8jlb8666

“ Nice scan of an old card ” -SSG Temple

“ Fun card. Local minor league team produced by a non-mainstream company. I like it! ” -koloth42

“ Wow, this card is even older than I am. A very nice card. ” -NJdevils

“ Wow - early minor league card. I just love the old stuff. And always did - even as a kid in the 70s and 80s. ” -vrooomed

“ The Oakland Oaks! Such a better name than the A's, although I can't argue with the A's history. ” -jlaz10

“ I think I have a loaf of 1949 bread in my kitchen. I should check for this card. ” -switzr1
