Set: 1992 Triple Play (Rate)

Card: #232 Mike LaValliere

“ I liked these when they were first issued. They were cheap, had different photography and seemed a little more fun than the regular Donruss set. A surprising number of players did not have cards in this set, like Dave Winfield, Dave Henderson, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Nolan Ryan or Roberto Kelly. ” -DaClyde

“ Ah the early 90s...when catchers looked like beer-league softball players. ” -dilemma19

“ The "read the answer in the mirror" on the back, always makes me laugh. ” -carthage44

“ The old 90s Triple Play cards are growing on me at first I hated Hated HATED them. Now like most of the junk years stuff I tolerate them and might even start to pursue the set. ” -captkirk42

“ I didn't know that's how batting average was calculated. OK, I guessed it was something similar but I have no real knowledge of baseball, other than what I've gleamed off the Database, the card blogs, and SportsCenter. ” -Billy Kingsley

Set: 1970 Cleveland Indians Picture Pack (Rate)

Card: #NNO Ray Fosse

“ It seems like every team back in the day had that "C" logo. ” -carthage44

“ I don't mind these picture sets, but for an item without stats, position or numbering, the picture isn't all that good. ” -dilemma19

“ Cool vintage photo. Technically memorabilia not a "card". ” -captkirk42

“ That name is so familiar. At one time I think I knew something about this guy. Love the Chief Wahoo on the sleeve! ” -RoyalChief

“ Good player from the 70's. Off to a fine career, then meets with Pete Rose at home plate in the All Star game. Not quite the same after. ” -Kaline6

Set: 1995-96 Hoops - Slamland (Rate)

Card: #SL16 Donyell Marshall

“ These cards are great (All 1995-96 is great in my opinion) but they do have a tendency for the foil to dissolve, which looks nasty. No other cards in the set have that problem, only this insert. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I want to know what that tattoo of that person on his leg is. Looks terrible. ” -carthage44

“ Card too busy. Looks like they were trying to copy Upper Decks "Fun Pack" baseball design slightly. Good thing it is an insert and not a base card. ” -captkirk42

“ Slamland....so here he is posting up. ” -wax_house

“ It feels like this card came out of a Disney animation studio. Neither informative, nor flashy, nor legible. Hope they didn't print very many... ” -dilemma19

Set: 2015 Choice Tri-City ValleyCats (Rate)

Card: #02 Richard Gonzalez

“ The baseball is as big as his head! ” -switzr1

“ I am a huge fan of MiLB cards. However, copying the design of an old Topps set is not cool. At least the back is unique and well-done. ” -vrooomed

“ Fooled me for the first split-second I thought it was some custom jobber. Nice Minor League card. Front Love the classic '74 style vintage. Don't like the #11 (Jersey number?) on front should be on back. Back OK not great, but card number needs to be more clearly identified. ” -captkirk42

“ Minor league cards are cool, period! ” -carthage44

“ Reminds me a little of 1974 Topps. ” -CluelessJoe

“ This looks like it was made by a high schooler in graphic design class. I will admit, the jersey number is a nice addition to the '74 format. Lastly, should Richard be concerned about the beach ball size ball sitting on his left shoulder? ” -flcardtrader

“ Nice. Kind of reminiscence of I think '74 Topps...or around there. I like it! ” -RoyalChief

Set: 1981 Topps (Rate)

Card: #468 Ottis Anderson / Pat Tilley / Ken Stone / Curtis Greer / Steve Neils

“ Old Topps cards, I like. Crooked printing on back and all. ” -Kaline6

“ I miss team cards. I always enjoyed getting one. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Ah, the old poorly centered 1981s. You would that by the 80s, Topps would have known how to center the cards ” -NJdevils

“ Two in a row for me. Love the classic football cards. Poor St. Louis, they can't seem to keep a team. ” -carthage44

“ I was just entering as a freshman at the University of Washington when this season kicked off...besides no money for cards, I had other things on my mind! I did graduate...on the six year plan! I need to go back and complete some of these sets from this era, as lots of football memories! ” -bkklaos

“ WE WANT LOGO'S!!!! Man that irks me. ” -RoyalChief

“ I love this card, but I'm sure no company would do a team checklist like this today. Hobby is too obsessed with QBs now. This Cardinals team finished 5-11, by the way. ” -switzr1

“ I love early 1980s cards almost as much as vintage cards. In some people's minds the 1980s are now vintage. Anyway I do like this cards the team leaders pictures on front and a team checklist on back. I just don't like that they were not consistent with the type of photos for each player, some of them are head shots other action shots ” -captkirk42

Set: 2005 SAGE HIT - Jerseys (Rate)

Card: #JA J.J. Arrington

“ Yikes! Sage really was hit or miss with their sets, especially their HIT sets. This would be a miss for me. ” -jupiterhill

“ Great scan. Pretty good design for Sage, their designs are not usually this nice in my opinion. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Weird swatch shape. Don't get why his first name looks so odd on the front. ” -DarkSide830

“ I just can't quite get into HIT. I like the idea, but I guess I like to know on the card at least who drafted them. But, then again that info may not be available yet. ” -RoyalChief

“ Sage Strikes again. So many "Strikes" here: college team from a pro player. Back says it is jersey I'm guessing it is ALL WHITE? Is that the jersey in that white six-sided Vertical polygon? And people wonder why I don't like Sage products. ” -captkirk42

“ Much like my stereotype of Dixxy for non-sport cards, I have labeled carthage44 for the Sage Hit sets...sorry, I know your horizons are broader too! I'm a Washington Husky, so you can guess how I feel about this card! ” -bkklaos

“ Any time I see SAGE HIT cards at the store, I wonder, "Who actually buys these?" ” -wax_house

“ The color combination is difficult on my colorblind eyes. Looks like i.i. Arrington. Good photo though. I wish Sage still had NCAA license for logos. ” -switzr1

“ Always love cards that I have added. ” -carthage44

“ Good picture but not a great design. ” -cjjt

“ SMH...Sage is still in business. ” -UKboogie

Set: 2004-05 Ultra (Rate)

Card: #18 Chris Wilcox

“ Reminds me of the 1996-97 Ultra. I like the back on this set a lot. And it's a really good photo on the front. I hope he didn't get a technical foul for hanging on the rim! ” -switzr1

“ Love the 2004-05 Ultra set...the last one produced by Fleer before they went out of business. Great photos, colorful card backs and nameplates on the front that pay homage to earlier Ultra sets. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Huh?!? What could the guy in the background possibly be looking at? I realize your team's being dunked on, but turn your head dude, the play is at 9 o'clock. On the back: Plenty of blank space, but Fleer had nothing to say about Chris Wilcox. If I owned this card, I'd try try to fill the void by asking Mr. Wilcox for an autograph by mail. ” -dilemma19

“ Good old Fleer Ultra. Fleer Ultra that is where I look for this set first, I keep forgetting some years it was just listed under ULTRA. Wish both searches linked to same actual checklist. Even though they used foil for the name it is readable. Most foil texts are not. Standard would like team name, logo and players position. Back needs bio/info in that space at the bottom. ” -captkirk42

“ I'm torn on this one. Part of me likes the big open space on the back and part of me wishes it had been used. Overall a decent card. Is that Brent Barry in the background. He doesn't seem too interested in the play. ” -Mitch

“ I like this design a lot. ” -wax_house

“ Lotsa real estate on the back of this card. Nice action shot though. ” -Kaline6

“ The lack of any type of info on the back and just blank white space is terrible. ” -carthage44

“ Why is there so much blank space on the back? And since that's the case, why are the stats so small? ” -ketchupman36

Set: 2003 Pokemon EX Dragon (Rate)

Card: #22 Vibrava

“ This guy doesn't look so dangerous. I suppose he can destroy my entire city in a second, but only if the coin toss comes up heads. I totally don't get the appeal of games like this. ” -switzr1

“ Good times spent with the kids playing this game ” -SFC Temple

“ Yup, sure. I don't have a clue what is going on. ” -RoyalChief

“ Sorry Dixxy...I was betting it was your scan before I clicked "write one"...there I go "stereotyping" again! Don't collect Pokémon, but still like the variety on RCotD! ” -bkklaos

“ Pokemon I don't even begin to pretend to know how to play the game. Don't collect them either even if some of them can be pretty valuable both from a monetary stand point and a game stand point. ” -captkirk42

“ Oooo a rare Ground/Dragon type. ” -wax_house

“ Certainly not the best Poke. Wonder how many different Pokémon cards have been made overall... ” -DarkSide830

“ Seems complicated. ” -carthage44

“ This is one of the very few cards/genres I wouldn't collect ” -volbox

Set: 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter - Mini Black (Rate)

Card: #183 Ryan Ludwick

“ Love the tobacco-sized minis. Always liked Ludwick in STL too. ABSOLUTELY HATE the written-out numbers for the stats in A&G. So good front, bad back. ” -switzr1

“ I like the mini cards, except when I am moving through a handful of cards and they drop out. Luckily, none of mine have gotten damaged that way, but it's more luck than skill. As they say, I'd rather be lucky than good! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I really like these Allen and Ginter's. Along side Gypsy Queen and maybe Turkey Red, it is my favorite right now. ” -RoyalChief

“ I used to love all the A&G minis, but now I will only pursue my homie teams and PC players if at all. I still want to get all the full regular sized sets. Black mini this year it looks very cool, some years not so cool. ” -captkirk42

“ Not a fan of A&G. ” -NJdevils

“ Is it just me or are the mini cards very annoying? ” -carthage44

“ These mini black cards look valuable. But they're not. ” -dilemma19

Set: 2003-04 SPx (Rate)

Card: #51 Richard Jefferson

“ This is a kind of cool card. I like holograms. I expect to be in the minority. ” -switzr1

“ He started for both Nets teams that went to the finals, but his refusal to go after offensive rebounds didn't help them any. (he was not the only Net who that can be said about). Very frustrating for me as the Nets have always been my favorite team. He's still in the NBA with the Cavs, and I fully expect them to make the finals this year too...He's one of many players Panini doesn't bother to give cards to. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Weird design. Weirder pictures. ” -cjjt

“ Too many wavy lines. Trying to be too artistic. ” -carthage44

“ Lots of potential but a lot of wasted space front and back. Not sure what look they are going for? Has he been shrunk down to only 3 inches and is dribbling past his own card? ” -captkirk42

“ A bit busy and hard to read, but overall a nice card front and back. I'd enjoy collecting a baseball set with a design similar to this one. ” -dilemma19

“ Fine as an insert design, but a whole set of these is a waste of time. ” -wax_house

“ What...a...mess! The only good thing about this card is...I DON'T OWN IT. ” -C2Cigars
