Year: 1999-00
Set: Upper Deck MVP (Rate)
Card: #201 Michael Jordan
“ This was the first set UD issued where they had a subset of very similar cards after MJ retired. I don't remember off the top of my head how many but 20 or 30 cards, I think. They would do that for years, and then they would do it again after retirement #3. It's too much, in my opinion...still wish they had the license, though. This was the first year of MVP, it would last several years, until at least 2008-09. It replaced Collector's Choice (UD Choice in 98-99) and was usually the first UD release of the year. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ I like the design of this card, it looks like they skinned a basketball. MJ looks like a puppeteer holding his hands like that above the ball. ” -ray fosse's ghost
“ Being from Indiana I never wanted to like MJ since that perennially toasted the Pacers, but Michael was just too good not to like. This card isn't what I would normally like but it just seems to be a fit for 23. ” -koloth42
“ Imagine the Bulls with sleeves. SMH ” -jlaz10
“ Classic card during the shift of centuries, got to love the style. ” -Baserunner3
“ Ahh, one of the 10,000,000,000,000 cards Upper Deck did of MJ.. ” -wamk
“ MJ > LBJ ” -Hollywood42
