“ The 1989 Maxx set was a tough one for me to hunt down. I began collecting NASCAR cards in 1993 and I did not hunt down any cards until 2010! It was almost like a comedy of errors as I kept missing them, except it wasn't funny. Even when I finally did get them, they reek of cigarettes so I still have to look for replacements. I have no idea what the combo pack on the back refers to as I got these all together with the full set I won on Ebay. The car on the front of the card is Bill Elliott's. Elliott won the championship in 1988 so it makes sense they used him in advertising. Maxx was only around from 1988-1996 but it remains my all time favorite card company. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Wow truly random a set title card. They don't do much of this anymore at least not that I know of. For Non-Sport sets it is actually a pretty cool thing but for sports cards it can be a little annoying lets get onto the players. In this case it is lets get on with the racers and their cars. Oh just noticed on the back it says its only an 8 card set. Cool it fits into one album page. ” -captkirk42

“ I guess that's what a cover card for a racing set should look like. Seems like most racing cards I see feature the driver and not the car. If I collected them, I think I would rather see the cars. ” -switzr1
