Year: 1990

Set: Topps (Rate)

Card: #142 Don Majkowski

“ Nice design. That's the largest Topps logo I've ever seen! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The NFL revoked Topps' license. Topps issued "disclaimer backs" before their lawsuit against the NFL was settled. Once they won the lawsuit, they reissued the complete set without the disclaimer. They left the fronts unchanged, even though team logos were supposed to be in the green box where the football is. As far as the design goes...I don't like it. ” -C2Cigars

“ Ah one of the football years that I had gotten a lot of at the time. Yet another of the zillions (well maybe only a few hundred) of sets I need to actually complete. OH wait this is the "Disclaimer back" variant. Were Topps states the cards are not authorized or sanctioned by the NFL. Now-days these would be called "Unlicensed" and couldn't have the team logos or names on them. Not sure how many I have of these puppies. To be honest I never really noticed until I heard about this maybe a year ago. Not sure if I will make the distinction or not for my collection. ” -captkirk42

“ One great year. Nine bad ones ” -Young Kilo

“ To be honest, this looks kinda cool. ” -DarkSide830

“ Majik Man... Nice disclaimer as well ” -SFC Temple

“ Had a career season in 1989 but after two poor seasons in 1990 and 1991 the Packers decided to trade for Brett Favre. The rest, as they say, is history. ” -carthage44

“ Majik Man! Poor dude couldn't stay healthy, and then Favre came along. ” -marcbrubaker

“ Magic! A man who threw for a 4000 yard season but never topped even 3000 in any other season. ” -wax_house

“ Good action shot, but not a fan of cards where a players face isn't visible ” -Lennoxmatt

“ The Majik Man. Was injured and replaced by Brett Favre. Went on to Indy and Detroit. ” -armac
