Year: 1992

Set: Triple Play (Rate)

Card: #232 Mike LaValliere

“ I liked these when they were first issued. They were cheap, had different photography and seemed a little more fun than the regular Donruss set. A surprising number of players did not have cards in this set, like Dave Winfield, Dave Henderson, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Nolan Ryan or Roberto Kelly. ” -DaClyde

“ Ah the early 90s...when catchers looked like beer-league softball players. ” -dilemma19

“ The "read the answer in the mirror" on the back, always makes me laugh. ” -carthage44

“ The old 90s Triple Play cards are growing on me at first I hated Hated HATED them. Now like most of the junk years stuff I tolerate them and might even start to pursue the set. ” -captkirk42

“ I didn't know that's how batting average was calculated. OK, I guessed it was something similar but I have no real knowledge of baseball, other than what I've gleamed off the Database, the card blogs, and SportsCenter. ” -Billy Kingsley

I don't like crooked frames.  Don't like crooked stats on the back.   Don't like crooked poliicians.
