Year: 1992

Set: Fleer (Rate)

Card: #310 Rob Moore

“ Nice to see the photo as the focal point of the card. ” -carthage44

“ Much improved over the '91 set. Still kind of boring. ” -Doc Floyd

“ I like this set. Narrative could be longer. I followed Moore as he was an Orangeman. I don't believe he actually fulfilled his potential. ” -SFC Temple

“ I really like the Fleer 1992 Set. They rebounded nicely from the dark green and yellow borders from 1991 ” -Xg200

“ Nice simple set. Excellent for the 1990s overproduced years. Only thing I might add for front would be team's actual name love that they have the team logo, but for having the team name helps in identifying as well. ” -captkirk42

THIS IS A NICE SET, I AM IN AGGREMENT WITH OTHER USERS THAT THIS WAS WAS MUCH IMPROVED OVER THE 91 SET. THE SHOTS THAT THEY USE ARE NICE, AND I LIKE THE BORDER. SOMETIMES SIMPLE GETS THE JOB DONE.

Anything was better than the 1991 effort Fleer put out. Still, the only thing worth collecting in this set back in the day were the inserts. Team Leader inserts were nice, as were the All-Pros.  The Rookie Sensations were nice too (which they brought back in 2013 Fleer Retro) but the rookie selection itself was terrible (Todd Marinovich anyone).  Still, as to not be a total hypocrite (maybe only a partial one :) ), every once in a while, when I find a box in the $10-$15 price range I am tempted to buy it.  Nostalgia is a terrible mistress.
