Year: 2005

Set: Bowman Heritage - Mahogany (Rate)

Card: #165 Melvin Mora

“ Is this supposed to look this? I hope not. I like the Heritage concept but this execution is...iffy, At best. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Respect for the vintage Bowman series. ” -Sportzcommish

“ ā€œIā€™m very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.ā€ ā€” Ron Burgundy ” -carthage44

“ As i jump back into the hobby, the heritage designs and the archives are the ones i find the most alluring. Not a real fan of the modern card look. Except the clarity of the photos. ” -parsley24

“ Love these parallels. First the 1951 Bowman design is classic plus using real cardboard instead of modern pressed card stock. Need to complete my Nats from this set and maybe the Os. Sometimes its tempting to look for a full set that is real cheap. ” -captkirk42

“ Unfortunately the Mets had to part ways with Melvin Mora at the deadline in 2000 to get Mike Bordick from the O's. As it turned out, they should've just kept Melvin. ” -mkaz80

“ if it werent for the name of the player or the card brand, i would have thought this card was from 1967 ” -Bargunmaster

“ So if this were really a 1951 card I'd say it was cool (although it looks like astroturf in the background, so I don't know). But since it's a 2005 card, can they really put the copyright 1951 symbol? Is that for the design? For their font of "Baseball Picture Cards"? What? ” -kents_stuff

“ One day I am going to love Heritage. I love the look, but just can't get over that it wasn't meant for the modern player. ” -muskie027

“ A little bit dark, but still a nice looking card. Been a while since I heard/read the name Melvin Mora. ” -rmitchell6700
