I can't recall anything overly terrible that he did off the field (except for liking Hooters girls).

The only controversies I know of involving Chipper were when he got caught cheating on his wife with the Hooters girl, and then a few years ago he said something sort of racist on Twitter before deleting it and apologizing. Nothing serious as far as I know.
