Do people actually own these? Do we know the print run?

Not big enough for the RCOTD coincidences, but yesterday was the return of Mets Old Timer's Day, for the first time since 1994.  And HoJo was indeed there.

Also they announced the official retirement of Willie Mays' #24.  Fulfilling a promise the owner at the time made to Willie when he was brought back to New York back in 1972.

I have this card autographed by HoJo! Met him at my local minor league stadium when he was managing the Brooklyn Cyclones. His son was the batboy for the team.

Damn 90 Donruss.  Don't be cool looking, original, affordable, and readily available.  Be boring, artificially scarce, expensive, unoriginal retreads like proper modern cards!

I was glad when the proper checklist for these was finally nailed down to only 1 or 2 sheets of the whole set.  It was annoying to chase a bland, rare, expensive card, but doubly so when it didn't actually exist.  A few years ago, someone finally dumped a couple sets of these on eBay, which allowed me to snag what I needed (Roberto Kelly & Dave Henderson) and remove the rest from my wantlists.

I seriously cannot get away from this set.  Every time I buy boxes of cards I get more of this set than any other set.  I can't even give them away fast enough.

I never liked this set and I can't explain why. I never tried to complete a new Donruss set after these came out. I guess I should be thankful.
