I've jumped into part-time reselling (among other income streams) this year and buying and selling cards "might" be part of that since I have a pretty keen sense of value. I don't have much experience with buying full collections though and the majority seems to be people unloading junk wax-era stuff. Last thing I want is to be saddled with tons of cards I couldn't move, especially since my PC interests are Washington Nationals, a team which did not exist in that era (I don't collect Expos). I'll give this topic a follow and see what others say, I'm genuinely curious.

It takes 1 simple connection. My neighbor just moved and I knew him so I acquired a 3k card box for a low low fee of 0.00. I also have used facebook as a tool just seeking if any people in my area had any cards and I walked away with a 2009 Topps complete set and some vintage cards.

FaceBook, Craigslist and even put a ad in the local news paper. Works for a guy I know but he is very picky about what he buys.

I get them from an LCS. They buy the collections, I buy from them bulk portions of it.

I've had some success with Craigslit and Facebook Marketplace. I want to try some estate sales at some point.

Too bad you do not live close to me. My brother is going to have a moving/estate sale in the next month or so. I plan on putting 90% of my nephew's collection in it. The wife will be very happy.

For me I have bought some through Facebook marketplace, craigslist and local auctions. I have a handful of local auction sites that I will search for the key word card or cards to see if anything pops up. In another month or two garage sales will be starting up here in WI and I have had some finds there as well.

I've had so-so sucess buying larger lots on Craigslist, but I'm seeing few of them these days. I've had my best success selling locally on OfferUp. But I get most of my inventory through my LCS when they sell base cards in bulk.

I've bought collections off Facebook. A friend used to do estate sales so I bought boxed sets and boxes of randmoness from him. Bought the 1970 Topps FB set off my neighbor. I shop online auctions around the country when I'm looking to get a huge lot of cards.
