Good evening. Full disclosure, I'm a lifelong 50-something Brewers fan who's still bitter about the 1982 World Series. I went on a junket with my mother last summer to the Ameristar Casino and attended my first game at Busch. At the game, they gave away mystery 1982 World Series champion replica commemorative rings. Not only did that rub salt in my wounds, but Pujols hit two homers and the Brewers lost. Have to say, though, it was one of the best baseball experiences I've ever had.
I left the game with four of the rings, and still have two, both Willie McGee (to eliminate the mystery). Despite the depressing memories they invoke, I haven't been able to throw them away, destroy them ritualistically, etc., because I wouldn't want to keep them from someone that really wants them. If anyone does want one, I would ask only for shipping costs (I think the one I did send was $15 Priority Mail) and one "cool" Brewers card--a Topps, Bowman, or Stadium Club insert or parallel. Send me a message or trade request if you're interested and, although it kills me to say this, good luck this season, Cardinals.
