2020 Topps Heritage #453 Alex Bregman SP, VAR: Throwback
When I was in grade school, my grandparents brought home from a gun show a 12x12x12 box of random baseball cards for me since I was not able to go with them on this particular trip. Gun shows always had tables of baseball cards back then, which is why I loved to go with them (Tulsa, OK was my favorite). In that box was a 1971 Topps #751 Al Weiss mixed in with a whole bunch of base cards from the 80s. As a kid finding an "old card" worth $8 per Beckett...I thought that was so cool. I've since grown up and that 1971 set design still pulls on my heart strings. I put together the 1971 Topps set with my Al Weiss included and when 2020 Heritage came out, I had to go after it. Four years later, I'm ONE card away. Part of me didn't want to build up hope that I would actually finish it...now I'll admit there is hope.
