Buy/Sell/Trade Forum

I am all for some trades, but not right now! I am trying to finish adding all of my baseball cards and the response to additions to my FS/T List has been tremendous! I have received at least one proposal every single day this week vs. only 2 the entire rest of the month. I keep having to waste time to send messages to each person. I'm glad people are interested in trading with me, but my haves aren't complete and my wantlist isn't even close to complete.

I am not trading until I get done adding all of the baseball cards. I'm moving as fast as I can and should be ready to resume trading in a couple of weeks. The current proposals just this month almost match my feedback for the entire 3 years that I've been a member!

Be patient and I'll be happy to get cards flying around soon. Thanks for reading!

You can turn it off so nobody can see your tradelist. I turned it off when I went on vacation earlier this year. Might be something to consider. Posting publicly instead of PMing you so it can help other people who aren't ready yet as well.

Thanks Billy. I forgot about that option, but at the same time, I don't want to turn anyone away. I don't want people to think I don't trade and then forget about my cards. I just want them to wait until I'm done adding everything. That's why I went public with why I am not trading right now. This is the first time (on any site) that I've had such a flurry of interest in my cards in the month of December! At this time last year, I was adding my football cards and barely got any offers until mid-January. The year before that was NASCAR cards and the same thing then. It's just been overwhelming this December.

I will post a new thread when I am completely ready for trading baseball cards (and other sports). I still need to add basketball and hockey, but the response to baseball will put those additions on hold until I get some trades cleared out.

I turned off my tradelist a month or two back to prevent getting trade offers but I still ended up getting two trade offers just recently.  People could still see my wantlist so I think that's how they found me.  I accepted the trades anyway because I can't pass up getting some card needs!

See! That's also part of my problem. As I add FS/T cards, I also add wants from specific sets. Although my wantlist is not even close to complete, people see some cards that are in my wantlist now and search for cards in their wantlist. It just becomes a snowball that continuously gets bigger. I am currently done with adding my 2005 traders, but not the duplicates from my team & player collections.

I CAN pass up the opportunity to add to my needs (wants) b/c I know that the trade can be better and more worth our time if both parties can make the trade bigger with the right amount of time. I don't do PWE trades and that seems to be the majority of offers I keep getting this week. I just need some time to get everything added before I can start working with trades.

spazmatastic - if it helps any, you are not alone . I WILL BE MORE THEN HAPPY TO TRADE, I also just need a little time as well......I figure mid January I will be back in the game. From that point forward, I will be able to focus on adding to my sale / trade list. I probaly have 5,000 + cards to add.

For right now, I just want to reorganize my Phillies.

Me too spaz....I feel bad when I get an offer, know I can complete it, but don't have the time. I apologize to any members that offered a trade without a response from me. I presently have 12 offers, 2 in progress, a big few big trades off the site that take a tremendous amount of time. Toss in, having a life, the holidays, ebay, sportslot, "my trains"......... just not enough time, and to boot, still reorganizing. So, same as spaz and others, I need a month or so to catch up. I'm sure you understand.
