Here's a blast from the past. This was the card of the day back in 2011, and as far as I can tell, there were no comments. This is despite the fact that there is something very unusual indeed about this card. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Is it that Drew looked ready to take over singing duties on the Temptations?

Drew is wearing the prototype "chia helmet" which, unfortunately was never approved for game use.

It's clearly a reverse negative.  Obviously the's looking to his right, and that 88 is a mirror image of his actual uniform.  Right?  I mean, left?  Or...well, whatever.

I finally figured it out. It's an UER with wrong stats for his 1973 and 1974 seasons. He actually went over 1000 yards in '74.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

That's it!  I also noticed the lack of 1000 yards in 1974, and that led me to realize what was going on.  Topps included the stats for a player named Barry Pearson for 1973 and 1974, and used Drew Pearson's stats for 1975.  This would be considered an UER, right?  How common is this sort of thing?  This is the first I've come across, and I was amused, especially since this had been a card of the day in the past. :)

Here's a link to Barry Pearson's 1976 card, for anyone interested...

Yes, I say the UER note would be fitting here, with a brief explanation in the Note 2 field.

Done. Thanks for the advice as to how to best handle it.
