“ 2000+ hits. 8-time All-Star as player (once as manager). Managed a team to the World Series. Only 57 when he passed. Nice card too! ” -vrooomed

“ What is that in the back round, a wheel barrow? ” -deporcoruña

“ Not my favorite Topps set, but a classic Topps set none the less. I wonder how many other wheelbarrows made it to a baseball card? ” -Kaline6

“ Card companies will never make any thing this cool again.I mean come on,how cool is"A Real Keen Hitter". ” -uncaian

“ He was a Giant before he became infamous for his Harvey Wall=Bangers Brew Crew ” -addysdaddy

" Vintage Wood-grain original " -ToppsBawlyn87

“ Is that a wad of tobacco in your mouth, or is Topps just trying to shift attention away from the wheelbarrow featured prominently in the background? ” -dilemma19

“ <3 VINTAGE! YAY! One of the most classic Topps designs ever. Classic enough that they imitated it 25 years later. ” -captkirk42

“ Love vintage!!! Fell in love with '62s while collecting the New York Mets inaugural cards. Always liked the photo peeling back to reveal name, team, & position. Kuenn was involved in the trade that Cleveland fans refer to as "the curse of Rocky Colavito". ” -C2Cigars

“ Every time I look at a card from the 1962 set, I love the design more and more. Awesome! If only I were wealthy... ” -cckeith

“ The '62 topps design is not bad, but also not the best ever. I prefer the 2011 62' heritage to the real set. I have also never heard of Kuenn, but he sounds like he was a great player back in his days with Detroit. ” -DarkSide830

How did I miss this?   Of course I love this set because I was a kid when this set came out.   Kuenn was a great player.   The only thing bad about the card is figuring out which year it is.

Nice looking card. It beats Topps 1987 cards any day. The wheelbarrow is his second job. A lot of players needed a second job during the off season.

My favorite set of the '60s, and among my top all-time.

Kuenn spent 15 years on the HOF ballot from '77-'91 receiving up to 39% of the vote.  He was definitely a superstar player during his career, making the All-Star team every year between 1953-1960.  He apparently wasn't a bad manager either--taking the Brewers all the way to '82 WS.
