Year: 1989

Set: Mother's Cookies Houston Astros (Rate)

Card: #13 Danny Darwin

“ Nice food product card. They left a space for autographs, assuming the kids would rush to the ballpark to get their favorite player's autos. Would have been cooler if they had commissioned the signatures from the players they included in this set. Come on it was only one team. Not sure how widespread the brand was to cater to more markets/teams. ” -captkirk42

“ I like how they put a spot on the back of the card where the player can sign the card. A nice little touch. ” -carthage44

“ Good old Mother's Cookies. Always had the same look. I like that in a small-time company. ” -vrooomed

“ Oh, Mother's Cookies. I love it! And look at all those empty seats at Dodger Stadium. Must only be the second inning. ” -switzr1

“ Borderless cards way before it was novel. Nothing fancy, but I like it. ” -dilemma19

Really liked these cards. Great borderless design on the front. These are probably some of the first cards that I ever owned.

These cards are great for collecting (no corners to dent), lousy for scanning (no corners to scan).
