This set was always thought to be released by Laval Dairy. In early the 2000s, a pack wrapper and advertisement were found of the actual producer, Bedard & Donaldson, Ltd.  The misconception more than likely came from Jean Beliveau's card (and the only card) which says "Courtesy Laval Dairy".  But Jean Beliveau was under contract with Laval Dairy as a Public Relations spokesman and it is now realized it refers to them allowing him to be included in the set.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I saw a home movie from the Canadian Broadcast Corp. , about Ted Lindsey and the Union he created, and it reminds me of the photo shoot they had where the players were offered free gum.
