@Darkside- the card looks like this because Bowman used black & white photos and then colored them in themselves. Sometimes they don't really do a very good job of it, but it always looks weird because they don't always color the whole picture, like here. It was a really primitive way to do things, but the concept of cards was going through a major evolution at the time.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

...really like the '49 Bowman set, which seems to transition well between the B&W '48B set, and the more colorful '50B set. Edited on: May 29, 2016 - 1:56AM
