“ Classic cartoons are the best. Current cartoons for the most part are terrible. I hate when people say that all modern stuff stinks but in the case it's true. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ What form of "Enhanced Interrogation Technique" is that going on on the back? ” -rmpaq5

“ Who is being strangled on the back? ” -carthage44

“ Love non-sport, love Disney. Not to thrilled about this style of two-sided story telling. Like the early 1990s Looney Tunes "Comic Ball" series where you need the full set (or at least a good run of several cards in a row) to get the full story. ” -captkirk42

“ That old-timey cartoons are so deeply creepy, as a kid I was really afraid of them. ” -Thomas_Kava

OK I guess, for what it is. Reminds me of a cheap box my son opened many years ago when he was about 8, but I think that was Impel not Fleer. Recall that making me happy he liked cards too, as he picked that out on a trip to a toy store without me being with him.

I grew up watching the old  cartoons on TV  (the new ones that my kids watched weren't around yet, neither were my kids, kind of makes sense).    I thought I was simply biased towards the old stuff but the comments from the younger people here seem to make me believe that indeed the old stuff was a lot better.   Also, it was my first real intro to classical music.  They used a lot of that in the old cartoons.

Also, these do look more like Impel than Fleer.

After looking at them a little better, they are actually Skybox, sometime shortly after they stopped using the Impel name. It was a while before they merged with Fleer, think that was maybe around '94 or '95. Might even be the same stuff my son had.
