“ Hockey "police" card? Or just team card? Either way nice card. ” -captkirk42

“ We need more team issued card sets. Great buy for collectors. ” -OverkillKid

“ I like team issues including this card. Team issues sometimes will include players you won't find in any other issues. ” -Brendan Barrick

“ I like these team postcard sets but have no memory of this player and had to look him up. His career NHL totals: 15 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, and 4 penalty minutes. He went on to play one season in the KHL after his NHL "career" ended and was out of hockey at 25. ” -bevans

“ Tres bien ” -NJDevils

“ Not sure what this one is. A card? Photo? No company name. Interesting. ” -muskie027

Team issue cards tend to be interesting and often harder to find. Is it a trading card though? Looks almost like a postcard.

It's a postcard. I have a few Canadiens team issued postcards from earlier years

It's not a postcard. You could not mail this card by itself under any circumstances. To be a post card it would require a space for the stamp and an area specifically marked for postal use. It's a team issued card that happens to be roughly post-card sized, a common size used for team issues.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

It's a simplistic back but I like the facsimile signature. Very neat and clean. I have a bunch of team sets from all sports so I'd be into this one as well.

Billy,

Point taken. Not a postcard in the literal sense.

But these sets are sometimes listed as postcards here on TCDB as well as on Beckett

That's true, but they are wrong. Our listings are probably copied from Beckett. Somebody needs to either correct them or send in the IRs to get them moved to the proper place. I'd do it but I don't have the time right now...I'm prepping scans to post which I consider more important.

Nice card. As a Canadiens fan I love this. I don't remember him though.
