I was invited to this site by a member who I traded often with and since I did not ask if I could use his name he will be anonymous unless he wats to be known and I will let him/her do that

I have collected for 29 years now and love the vintage sets and HOF players most of all. My #1 focus is finishing my T206 set (just 56 more to get without the 8 big ones) My next main focus is collecting Nolan Ryan cards I do not have and my 3rd focus is fininishing my 3 or 4 sets (not T206) more modern.

I was a member of Card Board Arena until the the site shut down.

With 35,000 cards to trade in Baseball and 10,000+ in Football I am not sure where to start adding cards for trade.

If you guys/gals can point me in a direction in what Sets. Players, or Teams you collect maybe I can start with thise first to get some trading started.

WAYNE! How's it going? We haven't spoken in a long while, but I hope you remember me (from Beckett - same name on there). I'm glad you found your way to this site. Your knowledge of the T206's could be a great addition here!!! Plus, I bet you could add some of the missing scans! It's great to see that you have joined the site. I haven't really been on the baseball forums over there in a while but am still very active on that site. I've spent much more time here though.

To everyone else, I am not the one who invited him here (wish I had though), but I do know him. Those who remember my story of my first T206 (and still my oldest card), he's the one I got it from several years ago.

Welcome to the TCDB, Wayne! I hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us do. It truly is the best card site on the internet! If you are going to add your cards here, my suggestion is to add traders first and by set. You can go to any set and checkmark each card you have to trade to add it to your "Collection". Then go to the top and click the dropdown box to move all "Collection" cards to "For Sale/Trade List". Then you can go back through the checklist and click each card you have that you want to keep. It certainly beats adding cards one-at-a-time to your "Collection", "Wantlist", "For Sale/Trade" lists. Cards you have listed will be highlighted with: Blue = Collection (aka Keeps); Green = Traders; Pink = Wants. That's the best info I can give you to start here. Also, always feel free to post in the forums if you have a question about the site or specific cards. It'll get answered really quick here (usually).

I was going to say I'd like to know who invited you here, but I'm thinking now that I might know who it was. Anyway, feel free to PM me with any questions about this site and I'll be happy to answer them or direct you to who can answer them faster! This place is great and there are a ton of vintage collectors here too.

Welcome to the site and as has been said, it really is the greatest site ever for true card collectors of any kind. I think spaz is right in the best way to approach loading up your collection onto this site. Yes, it does take sometime but if your collection is well organized and you have time in your day, it actually goes faster than some proclaim. And load everything you have for trade.  The most common cards are still being sought by other collectors. Don'tworry about what others want in priority; load up your collection as you have it organized (so that it will stay organized!).

Looking forward to seeing what you have in Nolan Ryan cards for trade.  My player collection is under sandy's singles (for now) including traders. There are 7 other Ryan collectors ahead of me in the # of cards they have of Ryan (I have 705). The top collector has just over 1200.  This is the type of stats this site provides and that you will discover as you get more familiar with the site's features.

Enjoy.  You will most likely find yourself addicted to this site, logging on every day just to read the forums or see what new cards have been uploaded.

Hey Spaz it has been a long while. Glad to here you still have the card that you won in the contest I gave.

I am down to 56 well 55 I bought Fritz early this morning. I hope to hit 50 needs by the end of June.

I guess I will enter the ones I have for trade starting with the earliest years I have for trade and work my way up to 2018 from there

According to my list I have 1,707 individual Nolan Ryans with about 100 different Broder cards and 11,377 total Nolan Ryans but the one that has eluded me is the 1991 glow in the card full back, I have a couple of the glow in the dark border cards. ( I have 123 card #1 and 54 card # 6 )

If you dont know what I am talking about the back border is a slightly different collor and glows under a black light. The full glow in the dark back the "40 YEARS TOPPS" is in bolder print than the regular version of the card.
