I got a magnetic one touch card holder given to me as a promo about a week ago. I had never used one before or even held one in person. Just a curious question, is a card supposed to be able to wiggle around in them? I would have thought they would be more secure like a card in a graded slab. Just seemed strange to me.

I have a handful of them (cards which came in them, never bought one myself) and they usually have a tiny bit of room to move (<1 mm). But so did the few graded cards I bought before breaking them out of the slabs.
My only real complaint with the "one touch" holders is that they are just a little bit too tall for a standard shoe box. Well, that and they cost about $4 each.

$4???? Where the heck are you buying yours? Or is that a Canadian thing. Mine are all UltraPro and I've never paid more than $1.75.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I think you mean "$4???? That's not too bad, but I could probably get my hands on some for you for $3. Just let me know..."

I pay $2 tops for those. They might have a slight bit of wiggle room since they aren't always an exact size match. You should always hear it snap shut, otherwise your plastic is too small.

Yes, I think they run about 4 bucks Canadian. The booklet-sized ones are about $10, which I couldn't bring myself to spend since the booklet I wanted to put in it was only $20 itself.

I was unfamiliar with these holders when this thread originated, but today I bought a cool card ($20 Is now the most I've ever spent on a card that wasn't a gift for someone else) and it came in a holder unfamiliar to me. I bet it is magnetic. I'll find out when I get home.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
