In the last few years I have become a fan of the Topps Heritage line. There are probably 2 main reasons for this. One, being that I collect the standard flagship issue of Topps, and once I get those nearly complete, I am looking for something else to collect. The second reason being that they are celebrating designs I collected as a kid. I have noticed that the 2018 Heritage design has a much smaller and less bold card number in the circle on each card than they did back in 1969. It makes me feel really old that I have to struggle with being able to read those numbers, but otherwise I like the concept.

I've always been a fan of Heritage as well. I am partial to the retro sets as well.

I'm really only collecting Heritage at this point...

Yes, I hate the small numbers. Sitting here with glasses AND magnifying glass for many issues.

Speaking of small numbers....try reading the codes on the back when looking for variations. What a strain on the retinas!

Reading the previous comments makes me think. The real shame is there's no person on this site below the age of 20 or 25, I'm guessing.

I know of 2. I'm not one of them, but I'm related to one (my son). I'm sure the other one will see this soon enough and be known.

I'm 23, but I still have an appreciation for the retro designs. However, I would say I'm more partial to the "junk wax" era designs for the same reasons; it's what I grew up on. 1986, 1987 Topps, 1989 and 1990 Donruss, and 1990 Fleer were all abundant hand-me-downs from my dad when I first started collecting. It's the feeling of nostalgia I get when seeing those designs that make them so comfortable to me. I'm a fan of the 1975 and 1972 Topps designs as well, but those are very under-represented in my collection.
Anything before 1970 is not foreign to me, but I wouldn't be able to tell you the year just by looking at the design like I could with 1986-now sets.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I got pulled into Heritage when they got to the 1966 design. It was the first year I remember collecting as a kid. And by the way, I am not under 25.
