As I high volume seller on eBay like myself (I have almost 27,000 postive feedbacks), that listing was only for 70 cards not 70 packs. One of two things happened here. Either the seller (who is also a very high volume seller) sold the item somewhere else or the seller did not get as much money as he thought he should have for the lot and therefore cancelled the order and refunded you. I am sorry that this happened to you.

As someone who has been buying and selling on ebay since 1998, what you say here is a problem. Once an auction has ended, both buyer AND seller have entered into a contract. Buyer to pay a specified amount, including any listed shipping fees, and the seller to deliver what was sold. Granted, it's only $5.25 and I was refunded, but the seller breached the contract.

Additionally, I don't know how they could include Topps, Donruss, AND Fleer rack packs for it to be only 70 cards. Two rack packs make up the 70 cards, not 3. The listing sure looked like 70 rack packs.

Anyway, I am comforted in the fact that I did get my money back, that I didn't get something I wasn't expeting, or any of that. I do, however, think this is a very shady business practice. If I didn't send out stuff I was disappointed in the amount realized, I'd probably have only sent out half the items I've sold! (And I'd be kicked off ebay.)

I do not disagree with you that the seller breached the "contract" but eBay doesn't care as long as no one is out money or an item. What I would recommend is leaving neutral or negative feedback for this seller. If you would have won the item but the buyer cancelled the order before you paid, the transaction is void and therefore you would not be able to leave any feedback. Since you won the item, paid and then the buyer refunded you, the transaction took place and you can leave feedback. Hope this helps.

In the future, buy from me.  I have sold cards for as low as 6 cents with free shipping!

Once I saw that the seller is tntnorthnj I can understand the problem. They are a horrific seller, there are multiple threads on Blowout Forums about the seller's quesitonable selling practicies and they have been accused of selling fake autographs and patches. I bought from them awhile back but it was for a single card and I didn't have a problem but things seem to have gotten worse. 

Thanks for all the replies. I still haven't heard back from them, and from reading all their feedback, doubt I ever will. Unless I do, this will be the last I post about this. At least I'm not out my measly $5.25. I'm probably better off in the long run not getting 70 rack packs of cards I already have too many of. It just seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. Apparently, the seller thought it was too good of a deal to let it happen.

And Carthage, I'll take a look at what you have available, and I'll see if you have anything I want. Knowing your reputation, I wouldn't hesitate to deal with you at all.

i got lucky i guess then,  i had bought from this seller before in the past a few times, singles of course. haven't had an issue

Got a message from them - they sent it around midnight EDT. Complete quote:

sorry item had the incorrect picture and shipping information.

That's all. I don't think I will ever attempt to deal with them again. I will be leaving neutral feedback as I did get a full refund, but the experience was not positive.
