I just tried to mail a single card in top loader in a 4.5X6.5 soft photo mailer to a destination 300 miles from my house in the US. Definitely flat and less than 1/4". I told the clerk that I want it non-machinable. She starts trying to bend it and says "$3.50, it's a package". I said no way. She says look "I can't bend it, what is it a CD?". I told her it was flexible plastic case around a photo of my granddaughter. Yes, I lied, it was a football player. So she keeps showing me how she can't bend it. What a jerk. Needless to say, I did not use their services. USPS, train your people so every clerk does every task the same way and charges the same rate. Thanks for letting me vent.

I hate the USPS. I've had so many issues receiving things, not so much mailing. My expectations are very low with them.
As a matter of fact, I have to call them soon. I was supposed to have received a card yesterday in the mail - tracking says I received it. It's nowhere to be found. Perhaps a neighbor got it, as our mailman frequently delivers my mail elsewhere and I get other people's mail constantly. One time I called to say that an Amazon package was delivered but not there, and they told me their tracking was wrong. I'm like how does that even happen? a "glitch" in the system she says. That's a big glitch I told her - here I am thinking it was stolen.

......and that's why I don't go to the post office!!! I do everything from my mailbox. I have a great mail lady, takes everything I stamp or label, I can even leave a note that there is a package on my porch and she picks it up. Buy all or should I say get all postal needs online and delivered to my mailbox.
Ship wth stamp, ebay label or the best is PayPal label.

If it is my card there is absolutely no rush in sending it as I don't know when I'll get to my PO Box next. Take your time and find a clerk that will put it through as mail.

I live in a small town with only one post office and I have been pretty lucky that the employees are pretty good. I haven't had any problems here but when I lived in ther Valley my mail carrier was horrible, she didin't care and multiple times my mail got delivered to the wrong house.

The weekly rant for postal services ........ sad state of affairs anywhere really. Makes you wonder where the world is taking us, pretty soon it will cost more to deliver mail than a damned baby!!!!

They are inconsistent from each postal clerk in my town with their rules. I usually go to the next town over.

Another reason it needs revamped. I sent a package to Canada on the 2nd of April. Cost me 10 dollars. Just for it to sit in Miami for well over a week almost two. Well today I get home from work and find the package back in my mailbox!!! The reason? Rejected because I only put my last name on the return adress...not my first name!! Fine if that is a rule. I am frustrated because one I have to pay another 10 dollars and the guy at the post office did not tell me I was doing it wrong, stopped me, had me redo it and avoid all of this mess! He acted like he had never mailed a package to Canada before.........OK I will stop thanks for listening. To my trade partner..I Promise it is coming
