I was at a second hand store today and found some cards and bought them. It had an odd mix of Missouri Conservation cards (which I'm working on trying to get a checklist), and some other cards. The other cards were of the likes of Softball, and Harriet Tubman. After digging some, I found a website talking about when stamps were issued and showed what the stamps look like. I found out that what I have are trading cards with the stamp designs on the front. On the back is a short bio and a place to place the stamp.
My question to those of you who may also collect stamps, did they make them for every special stamp set? The cards I have are from around the 1994-1997 years, and vary from different sets. I was just looking for a little more info. I don't have my scanner nearby, so I can post pics. Also did they make cards for every stamp in that set? I'm just trying to get info so I can add them to the database.
Overall, I think this is a cool concept and if I knew about it, I might have gotten into collecting stamps when I was younger (and stamps were cheaper), since one of my sisters did it for a while.
