I purchase a card recently on an auction site and realized upon receipt it was from Tri City Sports PL. Was wondering anyones thoughts on these cards being added to the site?

Never heard of it. Are they homemade or something? I am vehemently against homemade cards being allowed.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

They claim to have started in 2008, though their website looks like it was built sometime in the late 1990s. They don't even have any images of their product on their site, just a couple of sell sheets.

Have only seen their "product" on ebay. Immediately, red flags went up! They have some game-used, jersey cards. Yet, they are unlicensed cards. So, how did they get hold of certified, game-used jerseys? Do you think the NFL and NFLPA would give that stuff to companies they don't have licensing agreements with?
Personally, I wouldn't do anything to legitimize their product, including, putting them in our database.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Give? All the card companies get their game used stuff the same way, they buy it from someone who had it manufactured in China and pass it off as legitimate. But still, they buy it just like anyone else.
I have to admit, if they made a Hensley Meulens card, I would probably have to buy one.

After reading a little more about this company and their "product" online, I deleted my prior statement. I don't think they belong on here. From what I read, the autographed cards are just laminated index cards. And everything about them sounds shady.

Seriously, though, how do you claim to be a card manufacturer and not plaster images of your cards all over your site? I get the feeling they're really trying to fly under the radar lest they be shutdown by the MLBPA since they clearly have no licenses whatsoever.

If they are trying to fly under the radar, they should stop tweeting so much. I had to mute their posts (I might have even unfollowed them) because they are constantly hawking their products. Just like their website, no photos of actual cards, just sell sheets. On one hand I wouldn't have a problem with them being on here, but if they were that would open too many doors to other custom cards (which is more or less all these are I'd imagine).
In terms of ordering from them, I'd steer clear until it is shown they are legitimate or at least show some of their cards on their site and twitter. Then again, I get paranoid sometimes, so to each their own.

I was confused for a few seconds there. I was confusing this with Tri-STAR cards.
