I've been a collector for close to 40 years and I just recently stumbled across this amazing site. I spent most of the weekend cataloging my entire collection.
Trading for me used to be limited to whatever the kid down the street had. Want lists were constantly being created, lost and created again on sheets of binder paper.
I used to hate coming across a yard sale or card show and not have my want lists with me. Now I can access my entire collection from my phone so I can check whether or not I have the 1978 Topps baseball Johnnie LeMaster #538.
I initiated my first trade through the site to complete my 1974 Topps baseball set. The matching of my want list with someone else's trade list was so cool.
I just wanted to post this so I could say thanks to the admins and all the members who have helped build this site. It clearly comes across as a labor of love. Thanks so much for all of your hard work and helping me feel like a kid again.

Welcome aboard,
This is a great site and you should be able to help make it a better place. I know I like adding pics, and my collection.

Having amassed 425,827 points tells you what this site means to me. I wish you could have found us 5 years ago, but I know you will enjoy your next 5 years with us.

Welcome to the site. This place is great! I'm on here nearly every day adding scans, info, checklists, and making corrections. It's addictive. :)

Welcome to the site. With 40 years of collecting behind you, I'm sure you will have plenty of knowledge and experience to contribute to the rest of us.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Thanks for the welcome.
There were a couple of things that were quite evident as I browsed through the site and checked old Forum postings. First, you guys really have a strong sense of community. Everyone seems so positive and helpful. It's so refreshing. Second, it's clear that the site is about fun and the joy of collecting.
Kudos to the creator of Rip a Pack feature. I ripped a couple of packs and it took me back to the Friday's of my youth when I'd spend my allowance on 5 packs of baseball cards, eagerly opening each pack in the hopes I'd get those last few cards I needed to complete a set.

One of the things I really enjoy about this site is not only the cameraderie amongst the visitors, but having the ability to contribute to the database. Each one of us can contribute as much or as little as we want, and everybody that comes here can feel like they've helped build a site that's better for their being here - which is something you can't say about most internet sites.

Just wait until you start making trades. I have only been here about 3 months and with the help of some of the veteran contributers, began trading about a month ago. Talk about feeling like a kid again!! Wait until that package arrives in the mail and you know those cards that you never got are going to be there when you open it. For the cost of a couple dollars postage, you get a pack of cards with no risk of duplicates unless you ask for them. Can't wait to finish addidng the rest of my collection. Even though it is time consuming, it brings back tons of memories seeing all of those cards from 30 and 40 years ago that have been stored away for years.
