I've been intersted in The Beat Generation for many years. Bukero is a combination of Burroughs and Kerouac but also reminds me of Charles Bukowski as well, who I really like reading. I have a pretty extensive collection of Beat Generation, Charles Bukowski and other related books. One of my many different types of collections besides trading cards I have.

It's my first name and the first half of my last name. I've been using it for half of forever. This pic is a card my son drew when he was 5. We opened a couple of packs and we were both dissapointed that there was no Kris Bryant in them, so he drew this.

John is my name and 5150 is California Law Code for "crazy" so I just smashed them together. I learned of it's meaning when Van Halen released the album back in 1986 (still my favorite of the Van Hagar era). It's my username for just about everything for the past 20 years and still use it when websites require an account. The picture is a shot of me from Nationals Park late August 2018 (it was a brutally hot day game). I transposed it onto a Topps 1979 Pete Rose card and filled in TradingCardDatabse.com info. '79 is still my favorite set because it's the first one I recall getting cards from.

Great forum Donn, well done. Its been amazing to read, more laughs than I expected, which is good at this time in the world. My intials, kd and the second word of where I reside. Thus, kdinthejaw, sounded better than kdinthemoose? Is used for numerous purposes like everyone else.

When we were kids, my friend and I wanted to own a card shop. We planned on calling it "TNT Cards" for "Todd 'n' Trevor." My handle is an homage to that, plus STG for the city I lived in (St. George, UT) when I created my account.

Here's how I came up with Cardboard History: I wanted to write about cards back in 2014, but I didn't know what to call it. The main reason I collect is to document history, so Cardboard History it was. It has fit me very well, especially as, before the Corona virus, I started mixing in museum posts, focusing on the history aspect more than the cardboard. I also spun out some other websites using the history theme but they have not been successful.
My nickname, ElCaminoBilly, came to me at age 15 and has stuck. I earned it by passionately defending the proper spelling of Chevrolet's El Camino on the Hobby Heaven model car message board, which I still post on. In the model car hobby, that's how I'm greeted when I see the friends I've made over the years.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Vonnegut is one of top 3 favorite authors... (Pratchett and Robert Anton Wilson are the others.)
37 is my lucky number. Has to do with weird dreams and my Mom playing Zelda: A Link to the Past pack int he late 90's.

I think I started using this name in 2004 when I committed to moving to Orange County, California from Iowa.
I haven't lived in Iowa or California for a long, long time but the name has stuck.
