Any opinions on the best places to purchase common cards at reasonable prices? Not necessarily newer sets either, but sets from the 90s and early 2000s. Any other places besides Sportslots and COMC?

I score collection dumps on Facebook market place with regularity - a large part of my trading collection has come from soaking up these collections. Plus every once and awhile you score some really good stuff. Its gotten harder since the pandemeic as more people than ever have resumed or started collecting.
Depending on what you are looking for I might be able to help with a reasonable sale .... I've done it for a few mermbers here....its shipping that usually blows the cost.

I'm sure I could help from my collection. It all depends on what sport, brand, year and specific cards you are looking for. Shipping is the biggest factor.

I would have to recommend baseballcardstore.ca as well. I have filled some big holes in my collection there. Prices are very reasonable as well.

I have 1000s of commons not listed here. Baseball and football even basketball I would love to get rid of them cheap.

I haven't used them in a couple years, but for baseball commons, you can try Card Barrel, formerly JustCommons.
Going slightly off-topic, congrats Budler for reaching the 1000 post mark.

I've built a few sets by searching ebay for "fill your set", "choose", "pick", etc. and got a few deals of 50 cards for $1 + free S&H on additional lots
