In the case of the 1990 Topps Traded, they released the factory sets (white stock) and wax packs (gray [or grey] stock). Since both versions sold at the same price, no differentiation was ever made. My extras co-mingle (numerically) in my commons box - I don't keep them as "white" vs. "gray". Reason I mention this, I'm rather over-particular about sorting my cards (some might call it a "particular type of" retentive). And if I'm not separating them, I can't imagine who would be! (LOL)
