Now that I have your attention. When my son was young one of his chores was to take out the trash. Usually he forgot one or more of  the three  steps. (1) Remove trashbag from trash can (2) Take trash out to garbage totter (3) Replace trash bag. and I had to do it. (usually  he forgot this one)

Well, I look at things this way - if you can take out trash, why can't some people enter cards correctly and be content for others to to do what they won't do. Step 1.Scan cards into database. 2. Enter team name or edit card number if not currently in record or because checklist is in error (especially with Panini cards) 3. Link multiple player cards to team and all players.

If you don't have permissions to do certain  basic edits - get them - it not all that hard.

If you are creating a new checklist - Please Please Please put in the team name and notes. Save others from having to do it. I understand in the early days when people puit in checklists that didn't have required information. I am talking about newly created ones.

I wish Admin would delete any new checklists submitted without team names

Sorry for the terseness of this post - but is getting old having to do things other people simply refuse to do when I am looking for cards for certain teams. Please be a good user of this site and be considerate of others. Also, don't just be a 'taker", be a "giver". If you get a card and add it to your collection, take the time to scan it in if  it is not in the database  if you own a printer/scanner. I don't know how many times I have seen where quite a few people have the card in their collection but there is still no image posted.

I agree 100% with you toptigersfan. When I create checklists I will always put the team name and any notes (AU, MEM, SN). It just makes sense and it saves other editors time when adding images. 

I have made this know in many forum posts.  It's probably my biggest pet peeve. Inaccurate and incomplete checklists drive me nuts!  My philosophy: If you can't take the time to do it right, don't do it.  It's much easier and quicker to correct checklists in MS Word or Excel before uploading. After an incomplete/inaccurate checklist is uploaded there's a lot more time-consuming work involved.

In the case of missing teams, before I submit a checklist I spend a lot of time researching league databases to find a player's team to associate with the card.  I also search the internet for images of cards to verify the numbering system.  I NEVER assume another site's checklist is accurate.

I'm so glad wrestling cards don't have teams! Also, any card I put into my collection, with a missing scan, goes in a scan pile. I can't sort it in with my other cards until I scan it. This motivates me to stay on top of it. I don't always get them uploaded right away, but at least the scans are in my computer until I have time to crop and upload them.

If you're talking about inserting cards into exisiting checklists, you need Level 8 permissions. Otherwise, you have to ask Admin to do it.  For Level 8s, it's a 1-by-1 process. Which isn't too bad for a couple of cards. A large number of missing cards is best done by Admin.  Anyway you look at it, it's extra work that could have and should have been avoided in the first place.
