Here we go, time to talk. I think "age" should be a category in a member's profile. I would like to know the era of the person with whom I am speaking/dealing. I do not need exact age but I really don't want to be dealing with minors without a parent's permission. All I want are 4 boxes, a member would check one.
1. Geezer/Coot - Over 60 (I am in that category)
2. Working Stiffs - Between 22-59 (I used to be one of these)
3 Young punks - Between 18-21 ( I used to be one of these too)
4 Minors - Under 18 (don't remember if I was one)

I guess none of them cover me. I'm not over 60. I'm not a Working Stiff because I retired when I was 41.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I'd get lumped in with 22 year olds? Don't get me wrong. I love 22 year olds. Some of my best friends are 22 year olds. I'd let a rich one date my starting daughter. But a 22 year old never even saw my favorite all-time player (Ryne Sandberg) play. We need at least one other category.
Oh, and Mr. I Retired at 41, I hate you. (In the nicest possible way)

I kinda agree. I was thinking maybe like this:
Under 18
18-25
26-55
Over 55
I even think maybe over 50 instead if we kept just 4 categories. Though I will say it doesn't matter too much to me, but I guess if you didn't put your actual age (unless it updated automatically) I'm okay with whatever.

In addition to the year we started collecting category (like this one), we could also go by the decade we were born instead of our age. Age cut-off selections are too subjective. It'd have to be in no more than 5-10 year increments if we did it that way. Try using the decade we were born, which never changes.
2000's
1990's
1980's
1970's
1960's
1950's
1940's
1930's
etc.

Or, if it was precise age, we could add a Topp 100 Oldest Members stat! Someday, I could get there. I hope.
