The more I read these posts the more I'm convinced I'll avoid buying from comc.com. I've bought throughout the pandemic from sportlots.com and eBay without any shipping issues. Now I've had a couple of sellers refunding me for purchases and that was bothersome, but for those that were fulfilled there was no shipping issue.

Been watching the "counter" myself as I have an order that was requested 11/30/20 of 39 cards. I echo that on average about 2000 cards a day are being reduced from my Items Ahead number. I stand at this moment:
Tracking: |
Not Shipped Yet |
Date Requested: |
11/30/2020 |
Estimated Ship Date: |
8/11/2021 |
Items Ahead of My Order: |
17,219 |
Thinking I might see my order shipped and received by October? Definitely has kept me from buying on the site.

Difference is that the Sellers themselves have said cards (sportlots / yaBe (unless buying from COMC thru yaBe) ) so that it's up to said individual to pick pack ship the order . COMC got slammed because of #1 Covid restrictions on how man people could work etc. #2 the hobby took off during the lockdowns so they had many more sales and/or submissions and less workers to process submisions/sales . Given enough time I'm hopefull things get back to near what they were bevore the Virus hit

A great day! A couple weeks late and I got my shipment today. Delivery only took two days from Seattle to ATL, so very happy with that. Also, Comc always shipped securely, but this package of 175 cards was packaged better than any of the multitude of other shipments. Box in a box, all cards in penny sleeves and a BCW 300ct box and top loaders for a few nicer cards. And all in a BCW graded cards box in a priority bubble mailer. I was impressed. Our cats just wanted the packing peanuts....
Regarding Comc versus Sportslots (I use both), Sportslots is good for base and a few surprise listings, but 90% of the cards I get from Comc are never availible through SL. Also, on Comc, I let my cards sit for months and months until I am ready to ship all at once. 175 cards shipped for $13 (I paid for several to be in toploaders) or 7 cents a card. SL doesn't have these cards and I would have paid 10x the shipping costs (ands thats assuming the box option). The sites just aren't apples to apples. If Comc gets back to several week processing in 2022, well, game on.
Having a great day!

Give them some time. They'll likely be back on track. Everything is delayed and complicated the past year with COVID-19. I think they're still probably the best deal you can find for selling off your decent priced cards without having to spend tons of time messing with packaging, s/h, etc. It's worth the fees, but you need to know what is going to sell and what would not likely sell. I think they'll get it caught back up. No reason to believe they can't.

Reviving this old thread to report that COMC appears to be largely back on track. I requested my first shipment since 2019 on April 15th and they initially quoted an estimated shipping date of August 8th (not good!) but it actually shipped on May 19th and arrived on May 25th. A new feature they added is a counter showing how many items are ahead of your order in processing, and checking it periodically revealed the following:
April 15th: 383,234
April 29th: 161,142
May 8th: 66,696
May 19th: Shipped!

Since the beginning of this year, I placed two orders for cards I was unable to find nowhere else and they're getting real close to their pre-Covid 19 delivery standards now. I received the cards two months before the official delivery date. It seems that their new system to retrieve cards (with the thermal paper receipts) is giving good results. It is still slow compared to everybody else, but it is quite fast for them.

Checked all my orders. The years 2011 through the middle of 2016 the time between the request and shipped was 3 to 7 days. From Nov 2016 through end of 2019 most toke 2 weeks a couple toke less the a week. I had no shipments in 2020 (waited over a year for the next shipment) The next shipment in 2021 toke 5 months the rest of my shipments since then has been 3 to 4 weeks. 33 shipments of 50 to 200+ cards per shipment. Most shipments were 100 cards.
I have not been in no hurry to get the cards. Some have set there over a year so another month is no big deal.
By going with this their normal shipping was under a week years ago and has gotten up to just under a month now.
