Just curious as to what other collectors are doing for card dividers in your storage boxes. Do you use index cards, post-it notes, or do you buy plastic dividers at the card shop or off of Amazon?

I use Card Savers with a label on it. No cost. They all came with cards I purchased. BTW, I never use Card Savers for cards. I'm one of those who refer to them as Card Killers.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I bought plastic trading card dividers off ebay. Cover says they fit into shoe and monster boxes. Easy to see and and use. Since I only collect Reds, I use them to separate brands and years only. Works perfect for what I needed.

I use clear 'over-head projector' sheets cut to fit. As with most of my wifes crafting supplies, I have no idea how she happened to have them -but she did.

I use the white plastic you buy mostly, but also use the card holders as well. And sponges as my box fillers.

I make my own with old cards that were inserted into packs but not part of the set (such as contest cards and original Topps Town code cards) or blank inserts used to fool pack-searchers. I put a piece of masking tape across the top on each side and write info on the tape.
That's a good idea with the sponges. I use styrofoam blocks that you find in retail mixed-brand re-pack boxes.

In boxes that are tall enough, card destroyers Card Savers (I would never put a card in one!). In my HOF extra box, the slots are widers so we have top loaders as the player divders with an old business card in each one with the players name. In the commons boixes, old business cards folded in the middle (short fold) with the bottom half in between the cards and the labelled part being out of the cards. No tape, not post-its. Can't take the chance of adhesive getting on any cards. (The top loaders in the HOF extras are all clean - most are out of the pack new, or were sent in a team bag, not taped.)

I use them as that also. I haven't done the label bit. I have a massive unorganized hoard of cards. I have been fortunate that I haven't had any cards killed by these things but I do have a horror story from when I got a high value card delivered in one.
My blog post about it [not for the weak of heart] http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2010/11/white-whale-of-iron-man.html I have since gotten the other card I mention in the post, but not a graded version. I still haven't posted about that one though, but I do have a draft in progress for it (that has been in progress for a year or two like a few other posts in my draft queue)

(This is a card saver rant - turn away if you don't care)
I have seen card fronts stick to them.
I have received cards in the mail in them - BENT in half.
One card saver does not protect enough. I have gotten packages from a couple high-volume, high-quality dealers on ebay, but when it's multiple cards, they are okay. Still hate removing the cards from them.

Yeah, Card Savers suck! That is the worst name for that product. They provide NO protection unless they are stacked dozens thick. I don't have a horror story about them, but I know their uselessness. I have several hundred of them sitting here in bubble mailers from a huge trade I made. I still have not used a single one of them in my online deals. They came to me in a massive trade where I got about 400 STL Cardinals MLB older base/insert cards. Each card was in one of those and the cards arrived in five different bubble mailers. I was a bit surprised. The only ones I have used so far were to give base cards to my niece and nephew to carry home with them, knowing they would go in pages or a box when they got home. The rest just sit here. I guess I should put them in the recycling bin for plastic, but I just know I will find a use for them after that, without anything to do with cards. I have some Ultra-Pro ones too and I don't use them for anything either.
