Was wondering how people here keep track of their cards not listed here. I keep those cards on a Excel spreadsheet but my collection now feels fractured. I used to do everything in Excel until joining here. Is there something like a blank Word or Excel sheet that could be used to keep a complete collection here?

I track everything on Excel (whether listed in here or not) and in the DB. My Excel is based on items and structure that are listed in here; easy to cross-reference. For all those items that I have that are not listable here they are grouped with their associated set and I just put a note marking they aren't listed in here. I even color code the note so I don't forget and then try to ask to list an unlistable item.

I like tracking in Excel so that when I browsing around for something to buy it's all easily accessible on the spreadsheet instead of clicking through the DB 

I agree it's easier than clicking around the database when browsing around your collection. My spreadsheet utilized many, many Windows folders so I could have more of a COMC type setup where you would click and click to get what you want. Inside every folder was another spreadsheet.  Kind of an OCD thing I guess. Not a huge fan of row after row in my collection. Maybe I'll continue using that and database. Just feels like I'm tracking two collections instead of one. 

Man i trrack my collection here . And one of my friends came over and spilled a beer right there just at the side of my Christan Laettner collection . Oh I was just about to pop him a good one . But they were all in top loaders and were well protected .I made the save. collection in tact. That was a close one. 

The biggest draw to this site for me was being able to include card images and using tags to search your collection.  I use tags for printing plates, 1/1s, etc.  Makes that really easy to see. I was using spreadsheet for that too in my collection. Was also imbedding card images in spreadsheets in each row for a card listing. It got a little overwhelming until finding TCDB. I just wish to be able to keep track of everything here. 

Track it on Excel, the Database is nice as someone stated for pictures (in many cases), to

ID err/cor cards...

Back in Feb, had a memory chip have a glitch and scrambled a lot of files...

So starting over on my spreadsheet...

Though since I'm moving my collection from sheets and piles to organized boxes, both are getting redone....

I use Google Drive, including folders in a structure of my own and all with pictures. Mainly for gaming cards (among many other type of collections).

I started using a spreadsheet but it got to be too much. I am currently only adding them here and then I will probably build a google spread sheet so I can access it on my phone and computer easier.
