You can tell from the name that I have always been a Topps Guy. I haven't done much with Football and Basketball in the last few years but want to do a Football Set. Is Donruss Optic a fun Set to put together? I was gonna try to find some today and just wanted to get some opinions on it.  I'm thinking it is licensed and in NFL uniforms. Thanks...Hal

Well, to start it's the 2021 set being released, not 2022. Yes, Panini has been releasing '21 sets really late into this year due to their production issues. But to answer your question, this set would be comparable, to me, with Topps Chrome. It parallels the regular Donruss set. It is a licensed set. It's not one that I chase down. For football I normally go after the Donruss and Score set and that's it. 

I agree with the previous poster. The cards will be very similar to donruss, which is the paper version. I will also add that the rookies might be a little more expensive than the regular donruss cards, so it depends on your budget.

Hobby Box ~$800+ is the killer here!   great cards typically though.

No Optic at Walmart, so I'm out. I should have got on the Base.
